Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training

After years of study, Professor Ryuta Kawashima, a renowned Japanese neurology researcher, has developed a series of quick and challenging exercises designed to strengthen brain capacity. These mental challenges have been ported and adapted to Nintendo DS software under the name (Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training: How Old Is Your Brain?) to allow users to train their brain by exercising it in just a few minutes a day

Along with the mental exercises, users can also enjoy popular Sudoku puzzles, perfectly adapted to the console's touch screen controls.

To begin, the program uses a test to measure the user's mental agility based on the speed and accuracy with which they solve simple challenges, such as basic arithmetic problems or memorizing words. To help us track improvement with training, the software uses the metaphor of "brain age." This is not a scientific term, but it is incorporated into the program to graphically reflect the user's current level.

Once the user has established their "brain age," Brain Training designs a training program to help you improve it. Thanks to the calendar, the user can easily track their progress. All the exercises in the program are based on simple mathematical operations and tests based on language skills and knowledge. You won't believe how easy and fun it is!

To complete the exercises, the user must hold the Nintendo DS like a book: they will read the tests on the left screen and solve them on the touch screen on the right, or vice versa if they are left-handed. It is precisely the touch technology that allows for very intuitive input of answers. Additionally, the console's microphone allows for the use of voice recognition to complete some tests.

Professor Kawashima's mental challenges can be played with friends. Using the console's wireless technology, up to 16 players can challenge each other in a math race with a single game card.
