Gangs of New York

Cruelty, fear, and intimidation are the methods Bill "The Butcher" uses to rule from the shadows over the Five Points neighborhood, the center of vice and disorder in mid-19th century New York. Consumed by a desire for revenge for his father's murder, young Amsterdam returns sixteen years later and infiltrates the ranks of the "Natives" to gain the trust of Bill, the culprit; however, as he steals hearts and, along the way, their most prized possessions, he discovers that his true destiny will not be to fight for his own interests, but for those of his people.
