Cars 2: The Video Game features the "Play Your Way" gameplay mode, where players can choose to compete against the best in the world in either single-player or multiplayer modes, and up to 4 players can unlock challenging new tracks, characters, events, and exciting spy missions. Players will also be able to engage in spy battle scenarios in a unique game that will entertain people of all ages.

Cars 2: The Video Game is the only racing video game where the cars are characters that perform tricks, stunts, use gadgets, and display heartfelt emotions as only Pixar cars can.

- Players can choose from any of the 25 different Cars characters, such as Mater, Lightning McQueen, and the newly introduced Finn McMissile and Holley Shiftwell, to race on adventures around the world.

- The Cars characters can perform maneuvers that only "living cars" can execute, such as driving in reverse, aerial tricks, side-swiping to avoid obstacles, two-wheel driving, and many more.

In Cars 2: The Video Game, players will train to become international spies and embark on exciting missions, a richer gameplay experience than its predecessor, the Cars video game.

- The international training center, C.H.R.O.M.E. (Command Headquarters for Recon Operations and Motorized Espionage) was created by Avalanche specifically for the video games and is now a permanent part of the fiction.

- C.H.R.O.M.E. expands the plot beyond the film, allowing players to live it fully.

- Players can play as any of the Cars characters and train to become an international spy.

- Players will benefit from high-tech spy gadgets such as missiles, Oil Slicks, Leech Mines, Skate Jacks, Satellite Beams, and more to defeat adversaries in exciting races and spy battles.
