Guitar Hero 5

Guitar Hero 5 gives you more possibilities than ever: form your own band exactly how you like it.

The game contains 85 carefully selected examples of musical perfection to test your skills and, this time, you can play all the tracks from the beginning. Lighters up for classics from Johnny Cash and the Rolling Stones, brave the second generation of rock with Muse or Rammstein, and show your more sensitive side with the melodic (though no less complicated) tracks from Dire Straits or Stevie Wonder, among others. Once you have soaked up the classics and are breathing rock, you can create your own work of art in the GHStudio and then share it via GHTunes.

If you have what it takes to live rock night and day, this game is for you: with more modes than previous versions, there are enough challenges to make you the best guitarist. Advance through Career mode if you want a more classic game, or face the hardest "metal" in Rockfest mode. Party Play mode allows different band members to jump in or out of the game at any time without interrupting the action, and Mii Freestyle mode allows your Mii characters to play together. If any of your friends bring a Nintendo DS to the party, they can participate as a band assistant or roadie. In Roadie Battle mode, a duo consisting of a guitarist and their assistant can challenge another pair to a duel. While the virtuoso sound of the guitars brings the Wii to life, the DS assistants can sabotage the opponent's equipment or repair their own if the other team has managed to get their hands on it.
